Acer Aspire 4752G stucks in Acer logo.
Copied files to pendrive and tried bios recovery.
The things I have done:1) Checked with another RAM. Then, put the USB in Acer laptop and pressed, Fn+Esc combination.
But there is only black screen.Stuck in Acer logo Bios downloaded from Acer support. Copied all the files inside folder DOS that was downloaded from Acer driver support and pasted into pendrive. Formatted the USB with FAT32. Didn't worked.2) Checked without Harddisk.
Powered on. Didn't worked.3) Tried discharging all power of laptop by removing battery and power. But didn't work.4) Tried to recover bios with USB. Does I need to change the name of files?

My Acer Aspire 4752G do restart instead of Shutdow...i dont know how to turn off my laptop.. and then it powers up again after i press the power button.. also sleep and hibernate seems not functioning, in a couple of seconds it awakes again.. i tried the every thing about the power management to untick something about fast startup..
but it doesnt fix my shutdown problem.. the only thing i havent tried is BIOS update.. so i sent my laptop to service center.. then i assembled it back.. what a relief..

One thing good about it is that if the main partition cannot boot you can always boot to the other (well that's in my case with my desktop prior recovery via Acronis or Paragon HDM12). Now she was asking me if I could make it a dual boot system. I really don't see the benefit in dual-booting Starter and Ultimate. Well it's all okay now and have recovered a default factory image now.
Have not yet done a dual-boot with a Basic and Ultimate that is why I asked this... I recently had to use the Acer eRecovery Management because her unit went berserk and could not boot after a visitor had inserted a usb stick. I'd also like to ask you guys for help for anything that I need to check and have prior undertaking her wishes. Let's say, (A) with the Windows 7 Basic and (B) with Windows 7 Ultimate and (C) just a logical drive for files/documents etc.
Will there be anything wrong if that was the arrangement? Will use EasyBCD and iReboot from Neosmart Tech for booting. Now I plan to partition the 500GB hdd to 3 partitions.
I mean the 2nd partition to boot with Windows 7 Ultimate? Now this laptop came with the stock OS Windows 7 Basic which is licensed including all the software that came bundled with it. Just format the HDD, install Ultimate, and then create a 2nd partition for data.
Please do share some thoughts and input to me as I do not need to boink this one for her.

My Acer Aspire 4752G laptop does not boot up after... I've tried doing the FN+ESC and tried all the BIOS downloads in the Acer site but it still did not work.
I updated my Acer Aspire 4752g's BIOS to use the BIOS_Acer_2.10_Windows.zip in the BIOS downloads in the Acer site and when my laptop rebooted it was stuck in a black screen. What OS are you using?

My Acer Aspire 4752G bios update failed and shows ...Screen is totally off, no activity with hardisk, no beep sounds, shows power is turned on and fan is spinning.
I had updated my driver with BIOS version 2.10 from windows. Later every time I turn on the laptop nothing shows up with power is on and fan spinning. Someone please help me to recover my BIOS.
BIOS installed successfully but after restart, screen went black. So, I turned off holding power button. I let it on for about 3-4 minutes and showed no progress.
Acer 4752G: Boot screen hangs; Cannot enter bios s...I tried waiting up to about 30 minutes but there's no luck, the system won't let mo go to setup bios or boot menu. When I press F2 or F12, is says waiting.... The system cannot boot anymore. Here's what happened. When I power on the laptop, the boot screen shows up, with the progress bar below, moves up to 75%.

I was trying to install the latest BIOS version from Acer BIOS_Acer_2.15_A_A (Version 2.15), strangely enough I recalled that my existing BIOS is 2.19 version, so I use Phoenix UEFI WinFlash tool included with 2.15 download and flash the 2.15 BIOS, it went fine and without any errors, and after the laptop restarted, it won't go to POST screen. I've read a couple of information on the internet about this problem, and tried using CRISISDISK with different BIOS versions, renaming the BIOS to BIOS.WPH, use the fn + esc method but no luck, the flash drive would flash four times, but I think the flashing process never starts because the laptop won't turn off by itself even if i let it turned on overnight. I've also tried the Insyde method, using the base BIOS version (2.10) and the latest (2.15) by putting the JE40210.ROM and JE40210.FD (Renamed from the .ROM file) so there two files inside a FAT32/FAT formatted USB flash drive, and then perform the fn + esc method, I believe this method has failed too.Please let me know if you guys have a solution or suggestions for this issue, Thank you very much in advance.

I just finished formatting my laptop and decided to reinstall the drivers but ended up i flashed the bios instead. As i was updating the bios, it stays in 'blank screen' for quite a long time and i was so worried that i decided to force shutdown the laptop.
As per Microsoft's instructions, I tried changing the 'Start Page' value in 'HKEY_CURRENT_USERSOFTWAREMicrosoftInternet ExplorerMain,' but I got the following error: 'Cannot edit Start Page: Error writing the value's new contents.' There was no 'Default_Page_URL' entry in there. Lastly, the 'HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwarePoliciesMicrosoftInternet ExplorerControl Panel' subkey doesn't exist either. I went to this page to solve the problem: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;q320159 (Home page setting changes unexpectedly, or you cannot change your home page setting).
I was able to change the 'Default_Page_URL' value to 'Google.com' under 'HKEY_ LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftInternet ExplorerMain' and the 'Start Page' value in there was already set to 'http://www.microsoft.com/isapi/redir.dll?prd={SUB_PRD}&clcid={SUB_CLSID}&pver={SUB_PVER}&ar=home'

I am attaching a few pictures of what comes on the screen when I turn it on. If I try to start windows normally it loads the logo and then goes to the black screen. For the last week it took very long to start up, failing to configure windows but it would eventually let me log in. it is windows 7 by the way.

Quick reply!!! Even in safe mode it does not let me log in, it attempts repairs, it fails and then goes to the black screen with the white cursor. Since yesterday I am only getting the black screen.
Yesterday, in an attempt to do repairs it was replacing invalid security drivers or something like that and it was taking ages so I had to turn it off. Save your data and restore back to factory. Always have a back up image of your OS on a external drive for next time you have this problem!!
