How to Do a Repair Install of Windows 10 with an In-place Upgrade If you're having problems with Windows 10 on your PC, you could use push-button reset to refresh or reset Windows. I have a Windows 10 in-place upgrade that I am working on. I am deploying using SCCM CB 1606. The upgrade works fine, but I'd like to swap the default install.wim in the OS upgrade package with a slightly modified wim that includes some updates and basic configuration changes. The System Tray is another name given to the Notification Area, which we can find in the right-side of the Windows Taskbar. The System Tray features different types of notifications and alerts from your computer like your Internet connection, or the volume level.

However, you can choose what icons and notifications appear here. To further customize the System Tray follow these steps −

Step 1 − Go to the SETTINGS window and choose System.

Step 2 − In the SYSTEM window, select Notifications & actions. Here you can select the option that reads “Select which icons appear on the taskbar”.

Step 3 − In the SELECT WHICH ICONS APPEAR ON THE TASKBAR window, you can turn on or off the icons in whichever way you prefer.

To update your Windows 7, 8, 8.1, and 10 Operating System:

1. Open Windows Update by clicking the Start button in the lower-left corner. In the search box, type Update, and then, in the list of results, click either Windows Update or Check for updates
2. Click the Check for updates button and then wait while Windows looks for the latest updates for your computer
3. If you see a message telling you that important updates are available, or telling you to review important updates, click the message to view and select the important updates to download or install
4. In the list, click the important updates for more information. Select the checkboxes for any updates that you want to install, and then click OK
5. Click Install updates

Note: It is important that you do not shut your computer off or allow it to run out of battery during the update process. Doing so can cause a corruption of the operating system, which can often only be fixed by reformatting the computer.
